The Poem That Took the Place of a Mountain
"Where he could lie and, gazing down at the sea,
Recognize his unique and solitary home."
To me these lines represent the end of a journey. This journey could be to accomplish or discover something. The sea stands for the vast expance the holds unlimited opportunites. The 'solitary home' is the peace that is found, also, a place that one can call their own.
Recognize his unique and solitary home."
